Suoja (Shelter)

Teoskuva

The opening of the duo exhibition by Maria Laakkonen and Elisa Tuohimaa takes place at HAA Gallery on Wednesday, March 26, at 5 pm! The exhibition runs from 27 March until 17 April 2025. You are warmly welcome!

Suoja (Shelter) is a multi-sensory exhibition that explores intimate feelings and vulnerability. Artists Maria Laakkonen and Elisa Tuohimaa delve into this theme through painting, installations, sound, and video. While Suoja provides a sense of security from the outside world, it can also create barriers that prevent genuine connection with others. The exhibition gently challenges the boundaries between private and shared experiences, acknowledging the sensitivity inherent in all emotions.
