Helsinki Artists' Association – promoting the visual arts
The Helsinki Artists’ Association (HAA) promotes the modes of operation and position of the visual arts domain with diverse education, project, and exhibition activities as well as with multidisciplinary collaboration.
The Helsinki Artists’ Association is an organisation advancing the interests of its over 900 professional visual artist members based in Helsinki. Founded in 1967, HAA’s core activities include arranging exhibitions and art lending services, international operations, and the course and education services in visual arts provided by the Art School. HAA values sustainability, communality, professionalism, diversity, glocality combining locality and internationality, and it seeks to advance the availability and accessibility of the visual arts.

Our services
Art School and Course Centre
Take up visual arts at the Cable Factory! The Helsinki Artists’ Association Art School offers basic education in the arts for 4–18-year old students, and the Course Centre extensive courses for adults. The teachers are all professional visual artists and members of the Association.
Art Lending
The Helsinki Artists’ Association Art Lending services lends art by professional visual artists based in Helsinki both for private and business customers. The versatile and continuously increasing selection of over 9 000 works of art from the members of the Helsinki Artists’ Association includes paintings, graphic art, photography, sculptures, and more.
Exhibitions
The diverse exhibitions presented by the Helsinki Artists’ Association (HAA) display interesting and current contemporary art extensively. An open national and international call is arranged to all permanent exhibition spaces of the Helsinki Artists’ Association, and the exhibitions are curated in high-quality manner.
