Raimo Lehtomaa:
Basic Patterns
Arabianranta Library is displaying Raimo Lehtomaa's exhibition Basic Patterns from June 3 to July 31, 2026. You are warmly welcome to view the works!
The works often consist of thin, translucent layers of color that blend into each other. The image surface is divided into several parts, where dark-light contrast, broken tones and the interaction of colors alternate.
The images are created subconsciously. They contain figures or creatures, shapes reminiscent of organic and human reality, but without being too clear references to the surrounding reality.
Raimo Lehtomaa is a Helsinki-based visual artist who has studied at the Kankaanpää Art School and the Lahti Institute of Design. The techniques most often used are acrylic painting, ink and mixed media. He has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in dozens of group exhibitions in Finland and abroad.
NB! The Arabianranta library is closed on Saturdays during the summer until week 33.
