The project activities of the Helsinki Artists' Association have focused on international activities and sustainability, as well as the development of artist-oriented business services. Within the framework of the projects, the operating and employment opportunities of actors in the field of visual arts will be promoted on a long-term basis by building sustainable service models that are based on the professional know-how of artists and at the same time develop them.

The development project for art-based services promotes the usability of visual arts-based services by building an artist-oriented service concept for the use of businesses and public sector operators. The model makes it possible to implement the professional competence of visual arts and visual artists in different spaces and work communities, as part of everyday activities.

The HAA Europe (Helsinki Artists' Association Europe) project 2020–2022 promoted the mobility and international cooperation of actors in the field of visual arts by building an operating model for the international operations of Helsinki-based art that enables sustainable export, exchange and intermediary of visual arts as well as the provision of sustainable art services to international and domestic tourists. The project is planned to continue together with Estonian and Lithuanian art actors in 2023–2025.
