A few words about paintings and painting
All of my paintings are landscapes of some kind, either abstract landscapes I have seen or experienced, or landscapes of a sensation or a memory. Where one paintings ends, another one emerges, it is born of it, like a new layer behind another horizon of another world, seeing almost an organic part of the previous works. All works have similar elements that change and vary from one piece to another.
To me, paintings have an element to vividness and life. They are windows into new landscapes, places I have visited or places or feelings yet to come. In the end it is all just one process, each painting is a visually created document of a bigger whole. None of this process is systematically planned, even though it might look that way when looking at the exhibition.
Painting is like writing poetry without words.
I invite you to dive into these works, to feel movement and its dynamic yet silent presence in a painting. I invite you to step into a landscape of colour.
